DiskAid is a great utility for any iPod/iPhone users. The application allows you to use your iPhone as a mobile hard drive. The iPhone is known to miss many features that all other devices have. One of those is the ability to use the device as a Mass Storage unit. You can fix that with DiskAid. Simply by installing the application, you can browse the files on your iPhone and copy or paste to and from there. The application is basically a Mass Storage driver with a File manager. So, accessing the File browser frees up some of the iPhone's barriers. DiskAid works with the first iPhone, the iPhone 3G, and the iPod Touch. The good thing about DiskAid is that it is absolutely free and imposes no limitations on the user. Other solutions allow you to only play with files and not with folders. DiskAid also detects automatically the presence of the iPhone. With great platform support and an excellent easy of use, DiskAid is your go-to solution for when you need to use your iPhone or iPod touch as an external drive. The latest version of this application is 2.12. However, this review deals with version 2.1. |
